Istanbul Topkapi University was established in 2009 under the name of Platon Technical College, and in 2016 its activities were expanded as Istanbul Ayvansaray University. Later, the name of the university was changed to Istanbul Topkapi.
The university includes the faculty of fine arts, design and architecture, engineering, economics, administrative and social sciences, sports sciences, and a vocational school.
Istanbul Topkapi University has 5 campuses: Kazlicesme, Balat, Sisli, Levent and Yenibosna
The Kazlicesme campus houses the Faculty of Engineering, Economics, Management and Social Sciences, Technical College and Masters. Faculty of Art, Design, Architecture at the Balat Campus.
Gastronomy at the Sisli campus. The Faculty of Sports Sciences is located on the Levent campus. Yenibosna campus has a distance learning center.
